Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains will hold a free family service on Erev Rosh Hashanah, Sunday evening, September 29, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. This child-friendly service is open to the community for members and non-members alike. Tickets are not necessary for attendance. The one-hour service will usher in the Jewish New Year with songs, stories, prayers and shofar blowing. Rabbi Howard Tilman and Cantor Matt Axelrod will officiate.
