The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County will participate in the annual “Weekend in Old Monmouth,” an event when Monmouth County historical sites open their doors to visitors and waive their admission fees, from noon to 5 p.m. Among the activities is an interactive exhibit called “Youth Zone,” designed to appeal to elementary and junior high school children. The fifth annual community-wide “Blessing of the Animals” will be held at 12:15 p.m. at Temple Rodeph Torah in Marlboro. The free outdoor event includes compassionate teachings and songs about animals and the bond between animals and humans.
