Monmouth museums open
May 5, 2019 , 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County will participate in the annual “Weekend in Old Monmouth,” an event when Monmouth County historical sites open their doors to visitors and waive their admission fees, from noon to 5 p.m.
Among the activities is an interactive exhibit called “Youth Zone,” designed to appeal to elementary and junior high school children. The “Youth Zone” includes six standing books, each of which tells the story
of a fascinating person who appears in the permanent exhibit. An activity center will also include jigsaw puzzles and a scavenger hunt that challenges children to find answers to clues within the Permanent Exhibit.
This program is made possible in part by the Monmouth County Historical Commission through funding from the New Jersey Historical Commission of the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
