Inside the Cairo Geniza
The Cairo Geniza is the largest cache of Jewish manuscripts ever discovered. It comprises 400,000 fragments of books, letters, legal documents and other writings that have made the Jews of the medieval Arabic speaking world one of the best-documented premodern societies known to mankind.
