October 9, 2018 , 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

America has long been criticized for failing to give safe harbor to the Jews of Europe during World War II. Join Dr. Rebecca Erbelding as she discusses her groundbreaking new book on the War Refugee Board, established by President Franklin D. Roosevelt late in the war to save the Jews that remained. A historian, curator, and archivist at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Erbelding served as a historian for the Museum’s newest exhibition, “Americans and the Holocaust.”
