Rabbi Vanessa Ochs, Ph.D., will lead “Jews, Health, and Healing” at The Jewish Center in Princeton. The first session is on Thursday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m., when she will discuss “What Jewish sensibilities do we bring to the table when we reflect on healthcare decisions for ourselves and our loved ones?” The second part, for people who are or have been professionals in the healthcare industry, is on Thursday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. The session will cover: What are the Jewish sensibilities that are especially relevant in healthcare and how do they increase the understanding we bring to caring for Jewish patients and families?

Ochs, a professor of religious studies at the University of Virginia, is an important figure in the fields of Jewish feminism and ritual. The fee is $10, free for synagogue members; contact 609-921-0100, ext. 200, or info@thejewishcenter.org.
