Yvette Charlotte Lieberman, 89, of Boynton Beach, Fla., and West Orange died Sept. 23, 2015. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Manhattan; Long Beach, NY; Red Bank; Asbury Park; and Irvington before moving to West Orange 55 years ago.
Mrs. Lieberman worked as a journalist and social worker for the City of New York. After raising her daughters, she was a school librarian in the West Orange school district for 20 years.
She received her BA in journalism from New York University in 1946 and did graduate work in library science at Montclair State University.
She was a 50-year member of B’nai Shalom, West Orange, serving in many capacities as a sisterhood member.
Predeceased last year by her husband of 63 years, Robert, she is survived by two daughters, Andrea (Edward) Berger and Lori (Paul) Laporte, and four grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 27 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
