William Lasher
William “Bill” Lasher, 62, of Scotch Plains died March 4, 2015. He was born in Brooklyn.
Mr. Lasher had a career as a lawyer in New York City and Wilmington, Del., and was admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Delaware. His work was largely in the area of corporate law for leading financial institutions.
He graduated from Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School in 1971. He went on to the University of Virginia as an Echols Scholar, spending his junior year at the University of Edinburgh, and graduating Phi Beta Kappa in 1975. He attended New York University School of Law.
He joined the South Orange Performing Arts Center Board of Governors in 2013 and was a member of its finance, nominating, and board resources committees.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 31 years, Judy Mandel Lasher; his son, Robert; his daughter, Allison; his mother- in-law, Rita Mandel; a sister, Joanne Williamson; and two brothers, Robert and James.
