William Richard Bisgeier, 97, of Livingston died Sept. 23, 2018.
Dr. Bisgeier joined the dental practice of his father, Hyman Bisgeier, in Orange, and continued practicing dentistry on his own, retiring almost 50 years later at age 75.
He graduated from Rutgers University and University of Maryland Dental School before entering the Navy CB Battalion in 1943. He served in the American and Asiatic Pacific Theater.
He was an avid boater, golfer, and traveler.
Predeceased by his wife, Florence, and a daughter, Marna, he is survived by his wife of 49 years, Zanith; his children, Mitchell and Sondra Bisgeier, Susan and Mitchell Ross, and Jodi Hoffman and Tom Burkhardt; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 27 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel, South Orange.
