Who’s to blame?
I find your misleading headline, “Giffords and the price of vitriol” (Jan. 13), willfully ignorant. It was on the front page top, too!
The perception of Ron Kampeas’ piece is that “The Tea Party and Sarah Palin did it! Their speeches lead to this lone crazy with a gun!”
In the 2008 presidential elections, did Ron Kampeas also assume that Barack Obama hates whites and Israel? You know, because of Obama’s 20-year membership at that maniacal church.
If someone shot George W. Bush, should we blame Moveon.org and the 2003 anti-war protestors? They were vocal, too.
For that matter, President Reagan got shot in 1981. Wallace in ‘72. Two Kennedys. Should we have implicated their political opponents?
