Vivian Clarfield
Vivian Clarfield, 90, of Marlboro died Sept. 1, 2013. She was born in Newark and resided there and in West Orange and Manalapan until four months ago, when she moved to Marlboro. She also had spent winters in Boca Raton, Fla., during 1996-2006.
Mrs. Clarfield actively participated in Jewish community organizations throughout her life, including B’nai B’rith, Hadassah, ORT, and various temple sisterhoods.
Predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Robert George Clarfield, in May, she is survived by her son, Steven (Patricia); her daughter, Robin Clarfield Tolvin; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 4 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Laura Lia Murray Fund for Ovarian Cancer at Memorial Regional Hospital, 3711 Garfield St., Hollywood, FL 33021.
