Unilateral on both sides
Regarding your Aug. 18 article, ”Petitioners oppose Palestinian statehood”, the CRC and other Jewish organizations are urging that we all join in a petition that states, “[t]he sanctioning of a unilateral move by the Palestinian Authority in and of itself represents a violation of existing and agreed-upon international frameworks for Israel-Palestinian negotiations and binding bilateral agreements between the parties….”
What, if anything, are the establishment and continuing expansion of the settlements, if not unilateral moves? How could anyone sign this petition while Israel insists on expanding the settlements?
