Threads of our youth
Shira Vickar-Fox’s Exit Ramp “A blessing that’s not in vain” (Aug. 29) is a really nice piece. It was heartfelt and written with humor, love, and happiness. I’m a devotee of friendships formed during these special times of our lives. No one knows you like your friends from these intense times. My son will see his whole high school guy-group over Thanksgiving six years later and I still have friends from birth, kindergarten, and first grade. These are the real treasures of life and it’s wonderful that the writer’s son and his sewing circle have tightly stitched together friendships that have real potential to last forever.
