Thomas Fried
Thomas Fried, 85, of Bridgewater died Feb. 22, 2019. Born in Budapest, he immigrated to the United States in 1958, settling in Brooklyn.
Mr. Fried was employed by NBC and CameraMart, both in Manhattan, for more than 25 years, retiring in 1998.
He studied at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. After immigrating to the United States, he attended Middlesex County College/Rutgers College.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Millicent; his son, David (Stephanie) Fried of West Hartford, Conn.; his daughter, Gwen Klein of Kings Park, N.Y.; two stepdaughters, Shelly Laskin of Green Brook and Fern Reinbeck of Trenton; his stepson, Alan (Julie) Laskin of Elk Grove, Calif.; a brother, Peter Fried of Boca Raton, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Services were held Feb. 28 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
