Thelma Kaye

Thelma Kaye (Langer) of Summit died July 26, 2012. She was born in the Bronx and formerly lived in Jersey City.

Mrs. Kaye worked for 25 years in the Jersey City school system as an elementary school teacher before retiring. At the time of her death she was the manager of her condominium association in Summit.

She was a practitioner of yoga for over 40 years and an avid devotee of the arts.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bernard; two sons, Daniel of Glen Ridge and David M. of Westfield; a sister, Charlotte Max; and three grandchildren.

Services were held July 29 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions be made to Temple Beth El, 2419 Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07304.
