The elephant in the pun
Just read “On campus, a perfect pitch for pluralism: Jewish a cappella brings college kids together in harmony,” (Feb. 5). It’s awesome! One quick thing about the pun in the name of Shir Appeal, the Tufts University Jewish a cappella group. “Shir Appeal” is also intended to resemble “Shir HaPeel” which in Hebrew translates to “Song of the Elephant,” and pays homage to Jumbo the Elephant, the Tufts mascot! Just something cute I thought I’d mention.
