TBA rolls out ‘Red Carpet’ at annual event
“A RED CARPET Night” of tributes, music, and feasting drew over 230 celebrants to Temple B’nai Abraham in Livingston on April 21. Five couples were recognized for their dedication and service to the congregation and the Jewish and general communities.
The honorees were Livingston residents Nancy and Richard Dinar, who joined in 1973 (Richard’s family, however, were members of TBA in Newark during his childhood); Suzanne and Jeffrey Weinick, members for over 20 years; Randi and Scott Wolfson, congregants since 2001; Joni and Alan Cohen of Montclair, members since 1988; and Ethel and Robert Singer of West Orange, who joined in 1980.
At the awards ceremony, led by Rabbi Cliff Kulwin, Cantor Jessica Epstein, and TBA president Bruce Greene, the honorees’ children paid tribute to their parents. Main event organizers were TBA ways and means cochairs Erica Facktor and Illana Lebersfeld, journal chair Tara Heyderman, and catering chair Renee Cohen.
