Sylvia Weinstock

Sylvia Weinstock (Brown), 88, of Cranford died April 2, 2011. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., she lived in Levittown, Pa., moving to Clark in 1961 and then Cranford in 1997.

Mrs. Weinstock worked as a top salesperson in the jewelry department of Abraham & Strauss.

She was a member of Temple Beth O’r/Beth Torah, Clark, and its sisterhood.

Predeceased by her husband, Irving, in 2001, and a son, Ira, in 1998, she is survived by two sons, Les of West Orange and Perry of Cherry Hill; a brother, Lenny Mermelstein of Brooklyn; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held April 4 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Cranford Health & Extended Care Center, Cranford.
