Sylvia Sloshberg

Sylvia Sloshberg (Greenberg), 84, of Union died Oct. 18, 2012. Born in the Bronx, she lived there and in Newark and Irvington before moving to Union in 1954.

Mrs. Sloshberg was the owner/operator of the Encore Thrift Shop in Irvington before retiring in 1985.

She was a past president of the P.T.A. at the Franklin School and past vice president of the Tenants Association at Stuyvesant Village, both in Union.

She is survived by her husband, Murray; two sons, Steven of Union and Paul of Florida; a sister, Phyllis Daniels of Long Island, NY; and a granddaughter.

Services were held Oct. 21 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
