Susan Howlett

Susan Howlett, 68, of Jackson died Jan. 27, 2012. Born in Newark, she lived in Springfield and moved to Jackson in 2007.

Ms. Howlett was the Simon Property Group’s director of marketing and business development for the Ocean County Mall and the vice president and former president of the New York/New Jersey Council of Shopping Centers, where she was a founding member and active participant for over 30 years. During her career, she worked as a marketing director and regional marketing director for several companies, including Equity Development, the Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation, Corporate Property Investors, and Simon Property Group.

She is survived by her brother, Bill Gold; her sister, Shelley Miller; three nieces and nephews, David, Daena, and Marissa; and a great-nephew.

Services were held Jan. 29 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
