Survivors’ ceremony

The Holocaust and the United Nations Outreach Programme will mark its 10th anniversary at the Holocaust Memorial Ceremony to be held in the General Assembly Hall in New York on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015. We invite survivors to send us a photograph and an inspirational message. Survivors may wish to tell us why it is important for the UN to encourage Holocaust remembrance and education around the world or comment on a particular UN Holocaust Programme educational product or activity you have found to be valuable.

Please limit messages to 50 words or less and provide your name and postal or e-mail address. Scan and send your photo and message by Nov. 1 to holocaustremembrance@
un.org
or to Olga Yatskevich, Holocaust and United Nations Outreach Programme, Department of Public Information, UN, 405 East 42nd St. (Room S-966) New York, NY 10017.

Please note that select photos and messages may be included in our educational materials and posted on our website and social media or in our exhibit to be installed in the UN Visitors’ Lobby during the month of January.

And, of course, we hope you are able to attend the ceremony in New York. For more information, visit un.org/holocaustremembrance.

We look forward to sharing our 10th anniversary with you.
