Stuart C. Pistol, 51, of Westfield died Oct. 15, 2014. Born in Newark, he lived in Cranford before moving to Westfield 16 years ago.
Mr. Pistol was the chief financial officer for MFP Investors in New York City for many years. Prior to that he served as manager of investment operations and assistant vice president of Franklin Mutual Advisors, and also served as assistant treasurer of the Mutual Series Funds.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Rutgers University in Newark.
He served as the treasurer of Trinity Gardens Condominium Association for many years.
Predeceased by his father, Sidney, he is survived by his mother, Betty (Kier); a brother, Jeffrey; and many relatives and close friends.
Services were held Oct. 19 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
