Stuart Edelman
Stuart Allen Edelman of South Orange died March 21, 2015. Born in Irvington, he grew up in Newark.
Mr. Edelman worked in property management for many years before becoming a manager at Acme Check Cashing in Edison.
He ran cross country and track at Weequahic High School, Newark. He attended American University, Washington, DC, where he also ran track.
A passionate runner for most of his adult life, he ran in the New York City Marathon in 1999.
He was a member of B’nai Shalom in West Orange.
He is survived by his wife, Hannah; two sons, Justin (Ellen) of Fanwood and Ari (Patty) of Warren; a sister, Bobbi Ostrowsky of South Orange; and five grandchildren.
Services were held March 23 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the Buddy and Sylvia Edelman Library Fund at B’nai Shalom.
