Steven Sommer

Steven Sommer, 69, of Clark died April 24, 2011. Born in Bayonne, he resided in Clark for 38 years.

Mr. Sommer was employed with M. Miller & Sons Public Insurance Adjusters of Hillside.

He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BA degree, and also attended the University of Oklahoma, Norman.

He was a member of the Clark Board of Adjustment; a member, executive secretary, and board member of Temple Beth O’r/Beth Torah of Clark; and a member of B’nai B’rith. He was a member of National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters, and was involved in the sale of State of Israel bonds.

He is survived by his wife, Diane (Posnock); his son, Michael of Basking Ridge; and three grandchildren.

Services were held April 27 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Network.
