Steven Levine, 64, of South Orange died Jan. 19, 2013. Born and raised in the Bronx, he also had lived in Fort Lee and Maplewood.
Mr. Levine worked as an insurance broker for more than three decades. He retired from Aon Corp. in Manhattan in 2008 as a senior vice president after 15 years with the company. He previously worked for Alexander and Alexander Inc., Pan Atlantic Group Inc., Rollins Burdick & Hunter Inc., and AIG.
He graduated from Brooklyn College in 1970 with a BS in business.
He was a member of Congregation Beth El in South Orange since 1994.
He was an avid sports fan and memorabilia collector and a golf enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Meryl (Kahn); his son, Jake; his daughter, Kasey; a sister, Francine of Millburn; and a brother, Sheldon of Tamarac, Fla.
Services were held Jan. 21 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Chapels, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Beth El.
