Stephen Putzer

Stephen H. Putzer, 72, of Plainfield died April 29, 2016. Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Menlo Park, Iselin, Fanwood, and Westfield before moving to Plainfield in 1997. 

Mr. Putzer was the global manager of printing and graphic services at the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom in New York City since 1988 and was still active at the time of his death. 

He was a member of the American Legion and Congregation Beth Israel of Scotch Plains and its men’s club. 

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Brenda (Balot); two sons, Eric (Denise Fleischmann) of Glen Rock and Brian (Amanda) of Edison; two daughters, Jodie (John) Carroll of New Hampshire and Donna Putzer of Plainfield; and two grandchildren. 

Services were held May 1 with arrangements by Ross’ Shalom Chapels, Springfield.
