STEIN-GOODMAN

Victor Stein and Helene Goodman were married Nov. 10, 2012.

U.S. Fed. Dist. Ct. Judge Mary McLaughlin, the groom’s daughter-in-law, performed the ceremony at Baltusrol Country Club, Springfield, in the presence of their sons and daughters-in-law.

The bride was married for 60 years to Jerome Goodman, who died in 2004, and the groom was married for a similar period to Harriet Stein, who died in 2010.

The parties have known each other for over 50 years, beginning with their family membership in Temple Sholom of West Essex, Cedar Grove. They have resided at Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains for the past year.

Previously, the bride lived in Verona and North Caldwell for many years and the groom in Caldwell. The groom practiced law in Bloomfield for some 50 years. The bride worked in the Goodman family furniture business in Jersey City, as well as pursuing sculpture and painting avocations.
