On Thursday, March 28, Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest will welcome Michael Solomonov, 2017 James Beard Award’s Outstanding Chef, to our Annual LIVE365 community event. Solomonov is the executive chef and co-owner of Philadelphia’s pioneering Israeli restaurant, Zahav, and co-author of the award-winning cookbook, Zahav: A World of Israeli Cooking, among many other culinary achievements. Solomonov will share his inspiring story of struggles and triumphs on his journey to reach this level of international acclaim, including growing up in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood, the death of his brother during his service in the IDF, his passion for Israel, and his battle with drug addiction.
LIVE365 is the largest Federation event of the year, bringing out hundreds of people to celebrate our Jewish community, hear an interesting speaker, and raise money for our Federation programs and services. Event chairs are Rachel & Rob Fink and Michele & Jeff Strumeier. The evening begins at 7:00 with cocktails and a dinner buffet and concludes with a dessert reception. Presented by Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ, LIVE365 is in support of the 2019 UJA Campaign. A minimum gift of $365 per person (or $180 for first-time gifts) to the campaign enables attendance at this event. Tickets are $100 per person.
