Dana Leigh Smith, daughter of Rabbi Debra Smith and Dr. Neil Smith of Parsippany, was married on June 29, 2017, to Jared Vasconcellos-Grubow, son of Amy Sue Grubow and Jim Vasconcellos of Flanders.
Rabbi Smith officiated at Oheka Castle, Huntington, N.Y.
The bride graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor of science in public health. She was a Dean’s List student and two-time recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Public Engagement and Scholarship. She is employed as a senior digital editor at Prevention Magazine, New York City.
The groom graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor of music in music industry, with honors in percussion, and was a Dean’s List student. He is a second-year law student at Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School, New York City.
The couple resides in Brooklyn.
