SINAI Schools appoints new executive
SINAI Schools, a leading provider of inclusive special education for Jewish children with complex learning or developmental disabilities, has announced the appointment of Esti Herman as its new chief development officer.
Herman had served for 18 years at Chabad’s Children of Chernobyl, 10 of those as executive director, leading the organization’s annual fund-raising efforts.
SINAI managing director Sam Fishman said, “We are delighted to welcome Ms. Herman, with her years of experience in fund-raising and development, to help us expand and grow to keep up with this demand.”
“Without a question, the children are our future, and every child equally deserves a fair chance,” Herman said. “SINAI Schools gives them that chance.”
In addition to programs offered for adults, SINAI works with children in grades one through 12 whose educational needs cannot be met in a regular classroom setting. Each of its schools is housed in a partner, regular-education Jewish elementary or high school, which allows for an inclusion experience tailored for the individual student.
