Simon Todres

Simon Todres, 86, a longtime resident of Ocean, died Sept. 30, 2012. Born in New York City, he was raised in Farmingdale.

Mr. Todres spent 60 years working as a top liquor salesman for the Allied Beverage Group until his death. He was a World War II veteran.

He was longtime member of Temple Beth Torah, the Jewish Community Center, and the Elberon Bathing Club.

Predeceased by his wife, Lenore, in 2000, he is survived by three daughters, Shelley Nussbaum of Farmingdale, Amy Todres of Princeton, and Wendy Winik of West Long Branch; his son, Ben of West Long Branch; a sister, Lillian Weber; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his companion, Nancy Schwartz.

Services were held Oct. 3 with arrangements by Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean. Memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Monmouth County, Asbury Park.
