Joyce (Stockel) and Will Silverman of Verona and Boca Raton, Fla., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Dec. 22, 2014, with a dinner hosted by their children, Dr. Cary and Melissa Silverman and Marcia and Lonnie Tabatchnick. The couple was married Nov. 7, 1954, at the Clinton Manor in Newark.

Mrs. Silverman, a graduate of Newark’s Weequahic High School, attended Montclair State Teacher’s College.

Mr. Silverman went into business with his brother Jack in 1944 opening Ajax Carpet, Tile & Linoleuom. The store closed in 1969 and he went into the real estate business, which he still does.

They are the grandparents of Ricki (Tabatchnick) and Bobby Auerbach, Michael and Aranoa Silverman, Robbie Tabatchnick, Jamie Silverman and Drew Pakett, and Arielle Silverman; and great-grandparents of Madison and Dylan Auerbach and Luke Silverman.
