SILBERNER-FRUMKIN
Joanne Silberner, daughter of the late Muriel and Dr. Herbert Silberner of Livingston, was married June 22, 2012, to Howard Frumkin, son of Eileen and Barnett Frumkin of Boynton Beach, Fla.
Rabbi Daniel Levin, formerly of Temple Emanu-El in Livingston, performed the ceremony at Temple Beth El in Boca Raton, Fla.
Ms. Silberner, a 1973 graduate of Livingston High School, earned a BA in biology in 1977 from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, and an MS in journalism in 1979 from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, New York City. She is artist-in-residence at University of Washington, Department of Communication, Seattle, and a freelance journalist. She was formerly health policy correspondent for National Public Radio, Washington, DC.
Mr. Frumkin earned his AB in science and society from Brown University in Providence, RI, in 1977; his MD from University of Pennsylvania in 1982; and his MPH in 1982 and Dr.PH in 1993, both from Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass. He is dean of the School of Public Health, University of Washington, Seattle.
The couple resides in Seattle.
