Sick of AOC

I find it appalling that NJJN reader Peter Herbst could actually defend Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) for her remarks comparing the Southern border detention facilities to concentration camps (“Appreciate Ocasio-Cortez’s words,” July 18).

To me there is nothing she says that any Jew or any patriotic American should pay attention to. Perhaps Holocaust survivor Ed Mosberg, who would like to take AOC to Poland to show her what a real concentration camp was like, would instead take Mr. Herbst with him to enlighten him (“Morris Plains survivor still fighting for remembrance at 93,” July 4). I don’t believe AOC has enough intelligence to grasp the significance of this horrific experience.

I am sick of AOC and her three unbalanced cronies in Congress — Reps. Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley — trashing America and our president. I find their vile anti-Semitic remarks extremely offensive. It seems like this quartet, known as “The Squad,” has taken over the Democratic party.

I don’t understand how a bunch of freshman representatives can turn a once-proud political party into socialists and get away with their constant and hateful bashing of Jews and the only democracy in the Middle East, Israel. Even the Jewish members of the House appear to sit on their hands as if nothing was said. The Squad are the real racists, not President Donald Trump.
