Seymour Reitman, 86, of Louisville, Ky., died Oct. 1, 2015. He was born in Newark and grew up in Perth Amboy, moving to Louisville 15 years ago.
Mr. Reitman worked as a reporter for Perth Amboy Evening News and later for Corps of Engineers as an editor of training books. He also printed a monthly circular for the community he lived in.
He graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor of letters in journalism.
He was drafted into the Army after graduating college and served in Germany at the end of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Rita; a sister, Rhoda Reitman Juskow; and many nieces and nephews, including Beth and Matt Kasper of Scotch Plains and David Juskow of New York City.
Services were held Oct. 9 in Radcliff, Ky. Memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey.
