Seymour Pierce, 93, of Iselin died Jan. 27, 2015. Born in Bialystok, Poland, he lived for many years in Newark and Carteret before moving to Iselin in 2009.
For over 50 years, Mr. Pierce was employed as a U.S. postal supervisor in Newark.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps who served during World War II.
A member of the Jewish War Veterans Elin Unger Post and the American Legion, he volunteered at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Predeceased by his wife, Gertrude (Gurney), he is survived by two daughters, Lauren Pierce of Chatham and Patti Pierce of Bridgewater.
Services were held Jan. 30 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
