Seymour Grossman

Seymour Grossman of Morristown, formerly of Verona, died Jan. 10, 2011. He was born in Newark.

Mr. Grossman was a founder of Grossman, Goldstein, and Horn, an accounting firm in Union that later merged with Citrin-Cooperman.

He graduated from Weequahic High School in Newark and New York University.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

He was a Past Master of Composite Lodge F&AM as well as a member of Azure Masada Lodge #22 F&AM in Cranford and the Unity Club. Mr. Grossman also volunteered as a branch manager for Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), helping young people in the community with his business expertise. He is survived by his wife, Flora; two sons, Howard A. and David; his daughter, Nancy G. Spady; a sister, Leona Nowikas-Landau; and four grandchildren.

Services were held Jan. 11 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center at Morristown Memorial Hospital.
