Seymour Albaum, 86, of Edison died Sept. 1, 2014. Born in Newark, he also had lived in Irvington.
Mr. Albaum was a self-employed produce wholesaler in Irvington for many years, retiring 20 years ago.
A veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II, he was a member of the Jewish War Veterans and Disabled American Veterans.
Predeceased by his wife, Esther (Schildhaus), his son Alan, and his daughter Debra McDonald, he is survived by his son, Glenn (Emilie) of Colonia; his son-in-law, Paul McDonald; a sister, Evelyn Greenstein of Somerset; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services were held Sept. 3 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project.
