Selma Cohen

Selma Cohen (Rosenstock), 87, of West Orange died Nov. 18, 2012. Born in Newark, she lived in West Orange since 1966.

Mrs. Cohen was a physical education teacher at McKinley Street School, Newark, for 20 years, retiring in 1990.

She earned a BS in education from Panzer College.

She was a member of Hadassah, ORT, and the Miriam Sisterhood of Oheb Shalom Congregation, South Orange.

Predeceased by her husband, Jack, she is survived by two daughters, Fern M. Schrenell of Livingston and Cindy Davis of New Milford, Conn.; her son, Alan (Rhanda) of West Orange; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services were held Nov. 20 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to ORT or Paper Mill Playhouse, Millburn.
