Saul Stempler, 91, of Manalapan died March 6, 2013. Born in Newark, he lived in Bloomfield and Livingston before moving to Manalapan nearly 40 years ago.

Mr. Stempler was a self-employed retail sales associate.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a member of Masons Lodge #176, Columbia Lodge.

Predeceased by his first wife, Ruth (Daneshefsky/Dayne), he is survived by his wife, Gloria Malkin-Stempler; two sons, Sanford Stempler of Wayne and Edward Malkin of Monroe Township; four daughters, Wendy Bukowsky of Warren Township, Linda Stempler-Griggs of Martinsville, Susan Goldberg of Germantown, Md., and Doris Kraemer of Potomac, Md.; two sisters, Dolores Sevrin of Morris Plains and Lenore Gianetti of North Caldwell; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services were held March 8 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
