Saul Levy
Saul Levy, 91, of Newtown, Pa., died Nov. 17, 2017. He was born in Chester, Pa., where he lived until 1971. He then lived in Wilmington, Del., as well as in Aston, Pa., before moving to Newtown 20 years ago.
Mr. Levy worked for his family’s furniture store after college, eventually taking over the business until retiring in the late 1980s.
He attended Chester High School and graduated from Penn State University.
He served during World War II in the U.S. Navy.
Prior to college he participated in the Penn Relay Races in Philadelphia.
He was a member of Shir Ami in Newtown.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet Moskowitz-Levy; his son, Alan Levy; his daughter, Sandra Goldsborough; a granddaughter; and three stepchildren, Richard Moskowitz, Robert Moskowitz, and Marci Rubin.
Services were held Nov. 20 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Chandler Hall, 99 Barclay St., Newtown, PA 18940.
