Sarah Zeller

Sarah Zeller of Boynton Beach, Fla., died Oct. 6, 2011. Born in Newark, she also had lived in Maplewood, Livingston, and Verona.

Mrs. Zeller was a past president of South Orange-Maplewood B’nai B’rith Women, a member of Maplewood Hadassah, the Seymour Feldman Leukemia Fund, and the Lion of Judah society of United Jewish Appeal.

Mrs. Zeller was a member of Congregation Beth El in South Orange for over 50 years and was active in its Sisterhood. She was also a member of Cedar Hill Country Club, Livingston, and Hunters Run Country Club.

She and her late husband Jerome established the Sarah and Jerome Zeller Endowment Fund at Jewish Family Service of MetroWest, an Israel Test Scholarship Program for high school students, and the Zeller Library Fund at Beth El.

Predeceased by her husband and her daughter Lynne Nierenberg, she is survived by two sons, Harvey and Sandy; two daughters, Ilene Grossman and Lori Etkin; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 9 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sarah and Jerome Zeller Endowment Fund at Jewish Family Service of MetroWest, Florham Park; or Hadassah’s Northern New Jersey Region.
