Sara Bock
Sara Bock (Nikelsberg), 90, of Freehold died March 22, 2017. Born in Israel (British Mandate Palestine) in 1926, she moved to Brooklyn in 1954 and later Queens before residing in Freehold.
Mrs. Bock was a homemaker and child-care provider.
She was active in Hadassah and the Israel veterans’ organization Machal.
Predeceased by her husband, Philip, whom she met and married in Israel following the 1948 War of Independence, she is survived by two sons, Yehuda and Steven; her daughter, Batsheva Salberg; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 26 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan. Memorial contributions may be made to Hadassah or AAUW Tech Trek Camp at Stockton University (techtrek-nj.aauw.net).
