Sandra Hoch Kaye

Sandra Hoch Kaye of Ra’anana, Israel, died Sept. 18, 2011. A longtime resident of West Orange, she moved to Israel in 2005.

Mrs. Kaye was a Newark public school teacher as well as a Hebrew school teacher in the MetroWest community.

She was a lifetime member of Hadassah and AMIT and was a Lion of Judah. She served as the president of the Jewish Fellowship of Lords Valley, Pa., in which she helped increase membership from 50 to 500. For most of her life, she was a member of the Jewish Center of West Orange. After moving to Israel, she volunteered to prepare meals and feed soldiers and was a volunteer for ESRA and Emunah.

She is survived by her son, Marc; two sisters, Effie Hercky of Givatayim, Israel, and Susan Morgenstern of Nice, France; and two granddaughters.

Services were held at Kfar Nachman Cemetery, Ra’anana.
