Samuel Sansolo, 90, of Englishtown died Jan. 3, 2013. Born in New York City, he lived in Queens before moving to Englishtown 26 years ago.
Mr. Sansolo was a homicide detective in the Bronx, retiring in 1972 after 22 years of service.
He was a member of the Shomrim Society.
Predeceased by his wife, Mildred, in 2006, he is survived by his daughter, Laurie (Michael) Saks of Springfield, and three grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 4 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan.
