Ruth Martin
Ruth Martin (Cohen), 83, of Silver Spring, Md., died Feb. 6, 2012. Born in Newark, she lived in New York City before moving to Maryland several years ago.
Ms. Martin was a graphic artist for Audio Fidelity Records, designing many of their album covers and promoting many of their musical artists.
She was a graduate of Weequahic High School, Newark, and the Philadelphia School of Fine Arts.
While living in New York she was a volunteer at Xavier Society for the Blind.
She is survived by her son, Steven Pike; a brother, Martin Cohen; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 10 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels of Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Hadassah for medical research or the American Heart Association.
