Rudolph Feuerstein

Rudolph Max Feuerstein, 82, of Scotch Plains died April 20, 2017. He was born and raised in Newark’s Weequahic section. 

Dr. Feuerstein practiced dentistry for 20-plus years in Springfield, later moving his practice to Westfield, where he remained until his retirement.

He attended Weequahic High School in Newark and Rutgers University, and earned his dental degree from Temple University. 

He spent two years at Fort Bragg, N.C., as a captain with the 82nd Airborne Division. 

He was an active member with the Lions Club of Springfield for over 40 years. 

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Shirley; his daughter, Randy of New York City; two sons, Brandt of Wyoming, Del., and Philip of Long Valley; daughters-in-law, Jessica, Laura, and Stella; a sister, Dor Blackman of Spring Lake Heights; and two grandchildren.

Services were held April 21 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or The Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains.
