Rosetta Polow

Rosetta “Buddy” Polow, 96, of Longboat Key, Fla., died Oct. 10, 2010. Born in Irvington, she lived in West Orange for 55 years and in Longboat Key for the past 40 years.

Mrs. Polow was a graduate of the West Orange High School’s class of 1932 and received her bachelor of arts degree from Beaver College, Glenside, Pa.

She was a member of the Mountain Ridge Country Club of West Caldwell and Temple B’nai Jeshurun of Short Hills. She was also active with the United Jewish Appeal and the study group of Brandeis University.

Predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Benjamin, in 1995, she is survived by her son, Peter M. of Manhattan; her daughter, Ellen P. Schonberg of Plantation, Fla.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 17 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
