Rose Movitch

Rose D. Movitch, 93, of Langhorne, Pa., died Aug. 18, 2013. Born in Scranton, Pa., she was a former resident of Trenton and Lawrenceville.

Mrs. Movitch was employed at the Jewish Community Center in Ewing as a social worker before retiring.

She was a graduate of Temple University and received her MSW from Rutgers University School of Social Work.

She served as president of the Trenton Jewish Federation, a predecessor of Jewish Federation of Princeton Mercer Bucks. She was a former trustee at Greenwood House, the JCC, Jewish Community Foundation, and Har Sinai Temple.

She served as a docent at the NJ State Capitol and a hospice volunteer at Greenwood House.

She was the former president at Attleboro Retirement Village Association and planned cultural and recreation activities for the residents.

She was honored by the JCC, State of Israel Bonds, and the Jewish federation.

Predeceased by her husband, James, she is survived by her daughter, Susan (Gary) Vogler, and two grandchildren.

Services were held Aug. 20 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Har Sinai Temple or Greenwood House.
