Rose Bodzin (Cohen), 95, of South Orange, died May 9, 2011. Born in Newark, she resided there and also in Maplewood.
Mrs. Bodzin taught piano for many years in the suburban Essex area and later worked at Weequahic High School in Newark.
She was a member of the MEA, Hadassah, and a longtime member of Temple B’nai Abraham, where she celebrated her bat mitzva at the age of 83.
Predeceased by her husband, Morris, she is survived by two daughters, Zelma Bodzin of New York City and Linda B. Coppleson of West Orange; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Services were held May 11 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
